KidPix... What is it?! (Paige Straub)
KidPix is a drawing computer program for children. It provides drawing and paint tools, that allow for a variety of different uses. It is easy for children to navigate and good for use in the classroom.

~Very easy to use for all ages
~Does not require previous knowledge of program for general use
~Instructions would be easy to give
~Pictures are very clear for young children so no reading is neccessary
~Access is most likely going to be available at any school or public location
~You can do ANYTHING if you take the time to explore the program

~It is super easy to go wild in this program! Children would need to be given free time for a number of minutes before using tis program for an assignment
~There is so much to do with the program some students may feel overwhelmed. THis may also make it hard for students to feel finished with a project

Students Uses (Katelyn Mullan)
- Students can create their own pictures and write sentences about them.
- Students can use KidPix as a way to illustrate their findings in a research project.
- Use to create a picture of their family at the beginning of the year.
- Create Word Art- or a piece of art that includes a word (maybe each student has a spelling word)
- Create charts to represent their knowledge (Venn Diagrams)
- AND many others! This tool allows children to be as creative as they want.
Teacher Uses (Katelyn Mullan)
- Create a schedule for the day visually so the students can see it.
- Organize information when doing things together as a class.
- Help students visualize things better through drawing pictures or creating figures.
- Create a visual representaton of the classroom rules.
